Liozut Education successfully held its Cambridge Summer Camp 2008

Cambridge, UK - 15 Aug. 2008 - Liozut Education Ltd., committed to delivering the best education solutions to students worldwide and helping young people develop the skills they need to achieve their goals, has successfully held its Cambridge Summer Camp 2008 (CSC08) in New Hall, Cambridge University. Designed for Chinese students aged from 14 to 19, the summer camp lasted nearly 3 weeks, starting from 27 Jul. 2008 and concluding on 14 Aug. 2008.

The participating students have not only enhanced their English skills from the morning English sessions, they have also improved their leadership, team working, problem solving and communication skills from the afternoon skill training sessions. In addition, many famous speakers were invited to give speeches and presentations to broaden the students' visions and perspectives. The speakers and their topics included:

  • Prof. Alan Barrell (Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Cambridge, Recipient of The Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion, International Advisor for Youth Business China (YBC)) - How to Develop Entrepreneurship at Younger Stage
  • Mr. Igor Wowk (Industrial Experience Coordinator of Cambridge University Engineering Department) - The Importance of Industrial Experience at University
  • Mr. Han Wang (BA, MEng of Cambridge University, PhD Research Student at MIT) - The Experience of Studying abroad: Life in Cambridge and MIT
  • Mr. Todd Russuck (China Business Advisor for China-Britain Business Council (CBBC)) - The China-UK Business Opportunities
  • Ms. Joan Zhou (Project Coordinator – China of East of England International (EEI)) - The East of England – Opportunities for Chinese Students in the UK

In addition, the students have benefited hugely from the "Heart Talk" session every evening, in which the students shared their dreams of future with each other, and were taught on topics such as how to form good habits, how to set goals, how to manage their time, etc., all of which are vital to their future development and success.

The students also had lots of fun in the evening activities such as meeting up with local English students, playing touch-rugby, basketball, football, table football and pool. During the weekends, students visited Cambridge University, Oxford University, London and Winsor Castle. Throughout these visits, the students enjoyed themselves and enhanced their understanding of English culture.

Liozut Education appreciated the continuous support from Cambridge Seminars Tutorial College, Kaetsu Educational & Cultural Centre, and New Hall, Cambridge. Liozut Education is looking forward to working with them again in the near future.
